This is a traditional Puerto Rican cooking pepper. This seed has passed through many generations in the fields of Puerto Rico. It is a very productive plant, since it can last up to about 1 year. The fruit is of very good size and quality (4 to 6 oz). The plant grows like a bush. The fruit can be harvested green or red when ripe. The plant can grow from 24″ to 30″ and due to the weight of the fruits it may be necessary to put a stake and tie it so that it does not touch the ground. The soil needs to have good drainage.
